When the issue lies below the surface

Sunken or uneven areas

Dips, raised edges or puddles make the surface harder to walk or drive on.

Moving paving units

Stones have shifted, lifted or lost support under use.

Broken units or edges

Damaged paving or an unstable kerb may require replacement and repair of the adjacent surface.

A recurring defect

If an earlier patch has failed again, the base, expected load and water route need closer attention.

If the paving remains stable and level but has dirt or moss, the relevant service is paving cleaning.

We check the cause before setting the repair boundary

The visible dip does not always show the full area affected beneath the surface. We assess levels, base condition, load, kerb stability and where rainwater collects or flows. That tells us whether a local repair is suitable or a larger area needs to be opened and rebuilt.

Existing units can be relaid if they remain sound and there are enough of them. We agree any replacements for damaged or missing units. If water contributes to the defect, we consider drainage of the paved area within the repair project. Where the cause extends beyond the visible dip, we propose repairing the affected area.

In Riga and nearby areas, a site visit can be free, subject to a review of your enquiry. Visits elsewhere in Latvia are agreed individually.

Why Ambru

Repair experience that goes beneath the paving units

AMBRU has over 25 years of paving experience, its own team and machinery. We can address the base, replace damaged paving, repair adjoining kerbs and resolve rainwater issues associated with the paved surface where the project requires it. We can use customer-supplied materials or arrange materials by agreement.

Depending on the work and site conditions, a warranty of up to 3 years may apply. We agree the specific terms before starting.

Can you relay only the sunken section?

Often, yes. We set the repair boundary after checking the base and adjacent paving. If the cause extends farther, we explain the wider scope.

Can the old paving units be reused?

Sound units can be relaid. Where units are broken or missing, we agree suitable replacements or additional material.

Will the repair resolve a puddle?

We first check why water remains there. The solution may involve levels, base work or drainage from the paved area.

Do you repair the base as well?

Yes. If the base caused the defect, we include the necessary base work in the repair proposal.
