Finished concrete kerb between paving and planting

Kerb installation and replacement

Need an edge for new paving, a damaged kerb replaced or a stable boundary beside an existing surface? AMBRU installs and replaces road and pavement kerbs as a standalone job or part of a paving project. We assess the line, levels, base and junction with the adjacent surface before setting out the work.
Leave your phone number and email – we will call to clarify the details. A free site visit is possible in Riga and nearby areas; we arrange it after reviewing your enquiry. We work across Latvia; site visits elsewhere are arranged individually.

When kerbs are needed

A defined edge for new and existing surfaces

New paths, parking areas and driveways

Kerbs mark the boundary of the paving and link it to the surrounding site.

Damaged or displaced sections

We replace broken kerbs or units that have moved out of line, checking the adjoining paving as well.

Boundaries between uses

Vehicle, pedestrian and planted areas may need different kerb arrangements.

An unstable paving edge

We restore the boundary where existing paving has lost support or its edge is being rebuilt.

Scope of work

Installation and replacement without a full paving project

Depending on the job, we can:
Kerbs can be ordered as a separate job or alongside paving. We can work with customer-supplied units or arrange materials as part of the project. The proposal states what is included.

Choosing the solution

The line, level and base must work together

We look at how the area is used, where one surface meets another, the existing base and any change in height. The direction of rainwater matters too: a kerb should fit the falls of the paved area rather than obstruct the intended water route.
For a partial replacement, we check how the new units will meet the remaining kerbs and whether adjacent paving needs adjustment. We agree the kerb type and support for the specific site. Replacing a damaged length may require some work to the neighbouring surface; we identify that before work starts. For granite kerbs in a granite paving scheme, we coordinate the stone and installation with the wider project. See the Granite paving installation page for more on these projects.

How we work

From the site details to the completed kerb line

In Riga and nearby areas, a site visit can be free, subject to a review of your enquiry. Visits elsewhere in Latvia are agreed individually.

01

You get in touch

A phone number and email are enough – we will call and ask a few questions. If convenient, add the address or photographs straight away.

02

We review the site conditions

We discuss the adjoining surface, load, levels, materials and whether an inspection is needed.

03

We agree the proposal

We set out the base work, units, junctions, cost and work sequence.

04

We install the kerbs

We prepare the line, remove old units where necessary and fit the agreed elements.

05

We check the result

We review the alignment, levels and connections to surrounding surfaces.

Cost of work

What affects the cost of kerb installation

The estimate depends on:

Kerb length and type

Existing base

Removal of old units

Changes in level

Connection to paving

Site access

Who provides the materials

Repair to adjacent paving

For a short damaged section, the preparatory work can matter as much as the length itself. We clarify the job by phone and prepare a proposal priced on the actual scope.
