When cleaning is needed

Improve the surface without relaying it

Paving that has become dirty or overgrown does not always need to be lifted. Cleaning is appropriate when the issue is on the surface or in the joints rather than in the base or the levels of the paved area.

Everyday dirt and deposits

We clean courtyards, paths, entrances and paved open areas, taking the condition of the material into account.

Moss and surface growth

We attend to damp or shaded parts of the paving where moss can take hold.

Overgrown or dirty joints

We clean between the pavers and, where required, replenish the joint sand after washing.

Larger sites

We also clean paved areas at commercial and industrial properties, agreeing access and work arrangements in advance.

If the pavers have sunk, lifted or broken, washing alone will not put them right. We assess those issues as paving repair.

Cleaning method

The method should suit the surface

We look at the paving material, the type of dirt and the condition of the joints before cleaning. Water pressure and the work method are adjusted to the surface; stubborn areas receive separate attention where appropriate. Afterwards, we check whether the joints need more sand.

Cleaning can make a substantial visible difference, but it cannot reverse wear in the pavers or guarantee that every deeply absorbed stain will disappear. If we find a sunken area or a problem with the base, we explain it separately from the cleaning work.

Are cleaning and washing separate services?

Surface washing, moss removal and joint care are offered as one cleaning service. The exact scope depends on the condition of the paving.

Can you remove moss and weeds between the pavers?

Yes. Joint care can be part of the cleaning work. We then assess whether the joints need more sand.

Will the paving look new afterwards?

Cleaning can improve its appearance, but wear and some deeply absorbed stains may remain. We discuss the likely result after assessing the material and soiling.

Can you clean only part of a courtyard?

Will washing fix sunken paving?

No. Settlement and uneven areas need paving repair. We can help distinguish what should be cleaned from what needs the base corrected and the paving relaid.
